It will do two things. It will put her on a schedule that leaves her tired at night when you go to bed. It will also help with potty training. Exercise makes your dog want to go. And a leashed walk ensures you'll be there to praise, praise, praise when she does it right. That's the best way to potty train.
Don't give up! I think you'll find it's easy once you establish a routine.
