Hm, it's great you go the extra mile for your dogs and it sounds like you're breeding on a very small scale...sounds perfect.
Actually, I would've driven or flown myself to you for a puppy as I'd want to meet you as well and your dogs. I've imported, but I've usually already met the breeder either at a show or at least their dogs. One exception was from Wild Blue Cherry in Hungary.
In reagards to the training, I am a trainer myself. All I do all day is train dogs of various ages/sexes/breeds/problems, so no money would be spent or time would be spent on me going to a potentially "bad trainer". There is no need for me to defend what I produce in regards of high scores and happy workers, they're abound. And no, I don't use treat training...go figure.
I like consistent workers under heavy distractions thanks w/ loads of confidence, although I am glad that those other methods are out there.
