Congratulations on the new house! That's just a wonderful thing.
Max can hold it, he's also pad and outside trained, and I caught him peeing on the rug just yesterday. Once that smell gets into the rug, there are going to be accidents from time to time.
I say, enjoy your white carpeting for as long as you can. Once you have kids, and the dogs get to it, you'll be glad to have no carpeting.
