Do not let your puppy go without food. Gracie went through this too. Once she did not eat for two days - I think she was about 4 months at that time. The vet went nuts when I told her. She said that while she was a growing puppy she had to eat! The problem we had was that the breeder told us we could give her some chicken once a week and so we gave it to her once and then she wanted it from then on and would not touch her kibble. That is how we got into the mess. The vet said to wet her food and make it soft, basically do anything we could to get her to eat because letting a baby go without food could be quite damaging and to worry about putting her back on dry kibble later when she was older and had some weight on her. She told us not to play hardball with a puppy over food. For about two months I actually hand fed her, piece by piece, played games with her for food, threw food accross the floor so she would chase it and get it and eat it... Finally, she started eating it again. But, she was perfectly willing to stop eating to hold out for chicken!! Be careful.
