Well they have only been living there 2 months tops, and now the fence is starting to bend outwards and it is only a matter of time before he breaks the thing. It has been rather hot out lately so Lay and i dont' get to go outside much but like at this time of night (7 pm) i'd LOVE to take her for a walk but i'm honest to god scared for both of us to walk anymore... my mom told me to not go anymore unless she and my father were with me... i'm thinking of getting pepper spray to carry with me, because other wise i'd pick Layla up and i'd end up getting mauled. i am frusterted and VERY upset that people are not aware of the distress their dog causes. THis german shepherd could be a sweetheart but id ont' know that and i'm not taking my chances *sigh* just needed to vet.. maybe come winter things will change... |
I carry pepper spray all the time. It's too hot to walk my dogs now, but when I do, I carry it. I walk for exercise at the local mall and I always carry my pepper spray. I keep it in my hand at the mall and in my pocket otherwise. I don't keep it in my purse if I'm somewhere I might need to use it. If you need it, you won't have time to fish it out of your purse, so carry it in your hand if you're going to carry it and aim for the eyes if you have to use it. I'm a "mature" woman and I don't go into harm's way with my dogs. I couldn't protect the two of them and myself. There is a walking track at the local civic center and I take them there when it isn't too hot. I am always aware of who's around and always carry my pepper spray.
