My Yorkie and Maltese fight and every now and then I will hear a little yip from the Maltese, but then he goes back for more. It appears they are playing but seems pretty brutal to me. Our trainer told us to let them work it out and unless we see blood, dogs will be dogs and to leave them alone. Sometimes Gracie, the Yorkie who is 3 pounds larger than the Maltese can get a little overexcited and that is when we bring out the spray bottle.
