I found a few places in the past couple years that have said "no pets" and I've asked anyway. We got lucky both times. I explained the size of my dogs, the fact they are potty trained, not big barkers and that I would be willing to increase my security deposit substantially.

Both those times everything worked out fine....got our security back with no problems.

I don't think I'd try and sneak them in....by law they could ask you to leave and keep the week's rental fee.
