[Ellie May]

I haven't read this whole thread but first I want to say that I hope your baby will be all better soon. As for the food, vets make me mad. First, I will say that Ellie got Science Diet regular kibble (no health issues) for the longest time. After the recalls she gets homecooked. Ellie just had a UTI and it seems like something is still not quite right. If the problem doesn't go away she will go to the vet. If the vet wanted to feed her any of that food I would refuse. Now, if Ellie's vet would say something like, "I will give you recipes for this kind of thing so you can make this special food yourself" then I would do it. I do not believe that Hills and Purina are the only people in this world that know how to make a balanced diet for bladder/kidney problems either. Ellie isn't allergic to corn as far as I know but I still wouldn't give her food with that as the first ingredient. I am most definately not telling you to stop feeding what your vet told you too but I am saying please don't let them scare you into doing everything they say.
