pup Unfortunely, no..a check means almost nothing regarding many genetic problems. A puppy check tells the vet if the pups have worms, fleas, ear mites, hernia's, bad knees..all the easy to fix stuff. GENETIC PROBLEMS are not readily seen by a simple well puppy check up. It takes time for many things to show up. Liver shunt needs a bile acid test for a starter.
What I see most from breeders who breed too close is neurological problems within about 2 yrs. They may never happen..this pup can be perfectly fine for a life time..all I am saying is..inbreeding is risky..I have bred for 33 yrs and have tried it all...I get the best and healthiest by linebreeding.
