Yes, I get this far more than I care for.
I think it has to do mainly with the appeal and attraction these fantastic little dogs have as pets. They're cute, they're smart, they're small, they're fun. For some reason, these people think that they're up for grabs if you simply ask. I think this has to do with the different kinds of people. I have NEVER asked to have someone's dog, just like I'd NEVER ask to have someone's (human) kid. To me, my dogs are my children. I tend to get offended when people try to grab my dog or ask to buy to have my dog. If you wouldn't do it to someone's kid, why do it to their furr-kid?
You're not alone. Just tell them that NO, they cannot have your kids. If they ask again, I'd tell them to sod off. |
