I was careful not to let her see that I was angry. I smiled and explained to her about breed size standard. I'm fairly certain it fell on deaf ears.

Was you MIL close with Annie-Belle? Maybe she thinks she is being loyal to her memory for not liking little Susanah. Like the first grandchild
My mom babysits for Bella everyday I work and has since she was little. When I got Izzie she felt a real loyalty to Bella and is now just warming up to Izzie. She never said anything bad, and was a loving g'ma, but it takes time. It's no excuse for rudness...just a thought.
