Thanks everyone! I have to say that all these babies have been fostered and nursed back to health by my friend, Trish. She has shared them with me and I cannot tell you how much I have learned. I did what little I could while living in Colorado, mostly just moral support!! Now that we have begun our little rescue, I hate being away from all the "action" but we are in touch almost every single day and I am seriously considering fostering ... I am mortified at the thought of not being near Trish if I do!! I also want to tell you the strangest thing. There have been little ones that appeared to be absolutely "unadoptable" and as soon as Patrick and I make the decision to adopt them .... out of nowhere, the most most perfect homes have appeared like miracles! The decision was up to me and I chose to let them go ... I still cry when I think of my little "Bear". It was so much better to let them go to those perfect homes, but I just get so attached. Of course, we stay in touch with them and know they are having wonderful lives ... better than we could have dreamed. I just thank God for touching wonderful people who have the capacity to love these little ones who seem so unlovable to others! The rescues are so unique and there's something so special inside these little ones. If any of you ever have the opportunity ... please consider a rescue. They didn't ask for their lot in life and they certainly never asked to be born ... not "up to the standard", too big, floppy eared, not so beautiful, not potty-trained, and the list goes on and on! Just look into those little eyes and see all the fear and pain. Give them a chance and you can witness the miracle that occurs when that beautiful little soul emerges and you find that you are fortunate enough to have chosen the most beautiful, perfect baby in the world!! Just look at Shira!!!
