With all due respect, and this is in no way related to this particular situation, but yes, one "little thread on the internet" COULD do a great deal of damage to someone's reputation. It has happened before, from "a little thread" that started on this board. That started much the way this one did and there ended up being a lot more people involved and damaged that just the two actually involved in the situation. Do you honestly think that the issues discussed here only remain in discussion here? They don't--they extend elsewhere. It would be great and wonderful if everyone could truly be "friends" and everyone did what was right morally, but we all know that sadly that is not the case.
