i dont like the puggle mix at all and think it bad because most have breathing issues, one i think they are an unattractive mix and i cant see wanting them, so i guess on a personal level i dont like them all. and yes SOME people do lie about that hypo Allegenic stuff, my opinion on that is, if your doc told you you are allergic to dogs, guess what? you are allergic to them. some dogs might not affect you like others would. dont play with the chance of getting what you dont know about dont get mixes that have thick shedding coats in it. do you research.
and i do believe that good breeders breed mixes just like they did 100 years ago to get our cute little yorkies. SO people do experient to get the best traits from 2 dogs or more, like in the yorkie to get that standard that might be recongnized by akc one day. there is a consistentcy to breeding mixes if you are going in the right direction and doing it to perfect a future breed. other then the amount of people doing the mixing wants different from 100 years ago of making the yorkie?
a lot of shelters do not adopt out to people with out fencing, with children, without stay at home parents, blah blah blah, so the shelters can sometimes shoot their selves in the foot by pushing a potentical adopter towards a breeder or pet shop. and i personaly would not place a dog in a shelter that i paid money for, if i needed to find a new home i would rehome it myself. i also like knowing where my dogs come from, seeing the parents and there temperments.so i perfer buying from a breeder wether it be mixed or purebred (ive done both) i worked with a particular shelter for 10 years now off and on and i have never seen a dog i would want to adopt they were always lab mixes, pit mixes, shep mixes i think we got a yorkiepoo but the volunteer that picekd it up decided to keep before it got the the shelter. now if you are into larger breed dogs a shelter is a great place to adopt, but if you are looking for a smaller dog and i look sometimes at petfinder, they are sick, unattractive, old, or way to hard to adopt or way to expensive to adopt. if a yorkie rescue gets a adorable cute yorkie they charge what a breeder would charge so why adopt from them who probably wont approve you when you can go to a breeder buy the puppy and have papers and see the parents and might even get a great generation history, and it might have champions in the back ground. again i will say that this is not what the op was looking for and WE should stop and let her continue looking for the pup she wants, if this needs to be continued then there should be another thread started |
