Yes, they are very smart. My husband wants her to help him with the cattle and stuff. It's funny how that instinct is just in their breed. Last night one of his uncle's calves (he lives on the next property over from us) got into his yard and since they were out of town, my husband went over to get it out. He took Stormie with him and as soon as he set her down out of the truck she started barking at that cow and got in her stance like she knew just what to do. She didn't "herd" the calf, per say, but this is the first time she's even seen a cow and it looked like she knew what she was doing! Pretty smart little booger!
And thanks everyone! We think she's a cutie too.... she looks like a little bear cub with no tail whatsoever and so much fluff. You should see her run through the grass!
