I agree~ if it's hot on the pavement, it's probably too hot for their paws. I live in the desert, and there's no way I'll walk Max unless it's before 7 am during the summer. Everything heats up really fast here, and a lot of the area we have to walk (unless I drive somewhere away from home) doesn't even have sidewalks; it's just ashphalt. Especially if they aren't used to walking on hot pavement, and who is? Even I am not, and I go barefoot around the house and yard a lot. Also, you probably know this, but it's amazing how hot these little guys get even after a little bit, so if you're going to go somewhere for a walk, make sure you take some water with you (Max usually won't DRINK any, but I can at least pour it over him to cool him off a little). And yeah....it's definitely getting hot in S. CA!!!
