I would think so, but maybe if they walk on pavement regularly they probably have tougher pads. Can dogs get callouses like we do? This is a good question. You'd think they would blister like our feet do. I'll be interested in what people have found. Mine don't go on walks on the sidewalk in the neighborhood because of too many irresponsible owners with unleashed, aggresive dogs. Too many close calls, we don't chance it anymore, thankfully I have a large fenced in backyard so they can get plenty of exercise.
