Yes, they get used to them little by little. Especially, if they understand that they might get to go somewhere when they put them on!
Muffin didn't wear anything in the house, generally. She'd just wear them when she went for a ride or for a walk and she became so eager that all I had to do was to hold the sweater neck open and she'd help me out by poking her head through it and try to push her legs into the sleeves. Just try putting something on regularly for awhile maybe each day.
