Lisa. my vet isn't what you might call "breeder friendly' and won't give me anything but the vet I am changing to will. a lot of vets will. the dog I was talking about in the previous post had a shot of oxy at the vet because i insisted on it only to return home and find that the show breeder who was mentoring me had called and said in MY case she shouldn't have had the shot because in some cases it will cause the placenta to separate. but, the placenta had already separated in this case.
my mentor's vet gives her the oxy and tells her to use 1/4 cc every half hour up to three (I think). But someone called me yesterday and her vet told her to give 1/2cc at a time. So until I get a new vet that knows what he is doing, I am not even going to try giving my own.
