Default New here :) I have a special needs Yorkie.

Hi all... I am new to this board. Last week I became the proud momma of a special needs yorkie, Jack. He is 2 yrs old and only weighs 4.5 lbs. He is so sweet but has many problems. To begin with he was born with only 1 eye, he has a crooked walk and often bumps into things. When I got Jack he was covered with hundreds of fleas & was horribly matted. I had to just shave him completely to get rid of the fleas & mats. Also so that I could inspect the condition of his skin which was terrible. He has some behavior problems as well. I have 2 other dogs... Precious a 2 yr old female pug & Toot Toot a 3month old female pug/dauchsund mix. Jack attacks Toot Toot every chance he gets. I realize its a dominence issue & I am taking him to my vet tomorrow to get him neutered. I hope this corrects a few of his behavioral issues. He "humps" Precious every chance he gets. She is having NONE OF THAT business, I got her spayed before her first heat cycle so she has no idea what the heck he's trying to do but she doesn't like it! Bless his sweet little heart he has a mouth full of rotten teeth which need to be pulled. I am going to talk to the vet about going ahead with the teeth extraction and cleaning while he is sedated but I dont know if that would just be to much trauma on his tiny body. Trouble is, I dont know how he will do with the anestesia since he has obvious neurological problems. Anyway, I'd love to have some feedback from you all Especially anyone with special needs pets. I am brand new to this kind of pet care so I could use lots of tips.
