My little Max had pancreatitis once too. It was really scary. But they kept him in the doggie hospital over the weekend (I took him in on a Friday evening) and put him on IV fluids (this helps his pancreas settle down and not be so irritated). He was fine when he got home on Monday, thank God! Now, he's on a prescription dog food and he isn't supposed to overeat and it's been probably over a year and he hasn't had any problems since at all. Other than occasionally, if I leave too much food out he'll eat too much and throw it up. But you can always tell when they don't feel good, and this is nothing like what happened before.
The vet will probably put him on IV's and then do more blood tests to make sure that the pancreatic enzymes are down and then let him come home. I'll keep little Monkey in my prayers.....hope he'll be just fine in no time!
