I think if you only want 3 rounds of shots then you can get just 3 but now days it seems like the majority of vets want to go ahead with a 4th round just in case one round was bad or whatever. It doesnt hurt them to have a 4th round. It will either do nothing or help them. I had 4 rounds done with Reeses when I got him. Oh and the rabies deal...I had a strange dealing with the rabies shot. I had just taken him to the vet about a week earlier and got a puppy shot but no rabies, I live in Auburn to go to school but have always been able to get home to take him to my well-known and liked family vet but the next time he was due I couldnt so I took him to a good local vet here. They dogged my family vet saying he should have already given Reeses his rabies shot, that by Alabama Law they have to have it by 9 weeks oldest. My vet said that wasnt true, he was just wanting money..that they usually do it at 12 weeks. How crazy! |
