I am confused...maybe someone can help me out here.
Gizmo was born on March 9th. From the breeder's records he had the following vaccinations (dappc - distemper, adenovirus 2, parainfluenza, parvovirus, coronavirus) before I got him...
6 weeks: 4/20/07
9 weeks: 5/11/07
I took him for his well-puppy check on 5/29, but no shots were given (he was placed on earmite medication/ drops)
He went in for more shots by our vet on:
6/19
(no rabies yet)
Here's the confusing part....the vet tech told us that the breeder gave the first set of shots too early and they aren't even going to count it! What's up with that? So they have scheduled him for his final dappc on 7/19 AND his rabies. That seems like a lot for one visit! And doesn't it seem like over-vaccinating to give four rounds of the shots?
I read the other post and heard mention here that Parvo is bad this year. Could that be why?
Any insights would be appreciated.
