Love Too Young!!!!

I have bred my own Yorkies for the past 3 yrs. w/o making this reply too long!
I usually keep my puppies between 15- 20 wks. regardless of how much extra it costs for me to keep them! The longer the better.....their Mother and Litter mates teach them how to be a Dog, a Yorkie and a Balanced Puppy! Besides the obvious Health risks......most problems occur in the first 3 mos. even uo to a year old? Most breeders don't like keeping them so long b/c of the Vet. bills, think about it. If you have both Parents, that's 2 plus the 2-3 puppies?
That's at least 5 or depending on the Breeder - more?
I don't Breed them for the Money, I do it to improve the "Yorkshire Terrier"!
Every person that I have ever met that purchased a Puppy from someone else, that happened to be very young (6-12 weeks old) has complained about having both physical/emotional/behavior problems! It amazes me how Society and the General Public wants "Immediate Gratification"! Patience is a virtue and in this case for the Puppies sake? But that's a red flag to me if the Breeder is letting it go at such a young age? Makes me wonder what "Motivates" people? I have had a family wait a year and a half for a puppy and they purchased it 3 days after it was born.....but I still made them wait until he was 15 wks old. In this Breed's case the "Younger it is does not make it better". Maybe it's better for other larger breeds, but what ever is the Norm for others does not apply to "Yorkies", as you will learn Yorkies are in a class by themselves. Each dog is very unique, they all look and act differently but they are all the same! Good Luck w/your Studies, Aloha
