I know how you feel. I hate having my 16 year old son away from me. Once he joined Scouts (his father joined as assist. leader), they would go away for a weekend and I thought I'd lose my mind. Thankful his father was with him to watch over him. Then when they started going for a week, I just didn't know how I would make it through the week. Now that I'm use to it, I still miss him and can't wait for him to come home, but he loves it and all the experiences. We have to let them go sometimes and I always try to wait to cry until after he pulls out of the driveway. What are we mothers to do!
