Hello...
It seems to me that most yorkie puppies do get a lot of exercise "on their own," since they are such active little babes. I feel like they still need more outside time and definately some "walks." Emmy, my 1 year old yorkie, gets walked (with harness and leash) several times a day, but for only short amounts of time. Actually I let her call the shots--when she is ready to go inside, she goes to the door and sits. I know she has had enough and is tired. Now little Oscar is a different story--we are trying to outside potty train him, but all he wants to do outside is roll in the grass. He will take off and run a bit, but mainly just lays down and rolls! We do a lot of playing with both--I guess you could call that exercise time, too. Yorkies love one-on-one time! My two also chase each other around in the house ALL DAY LONG!
It sounds like you have made lots of preparation for your new baby--my Oscar was 3 pounds and 12 weeks old when we got him a few weeks ago! I can't wait to see pictures and hear of your adventures!
Good luck and congratulations!
