Sorry, but that's not crate training, IMO that is neglect. And I don't think that's right and it certainly upset me thinking about poor Tanner in that situation.
Then I read that "Chris" usually leaves him in the crate for an additional hour until Heidi gets home - And he wonders why "it" doesn't like him as much as he like Heidi.
He came here for advice, and I hope they stay and learn, but their practices so far on how to treat and train Tanner have upset me and others - B/c we care so much for the wellfare of these little guys.
All these things were posted by them, how could people not comment? This is a public forum. |
I agree. Before they even got Tanner there was a post about their schedule and how the dog would be out for only a few mins in the morning and then back in while they got ready for work. I posted about how that was not realistic and how I have to let mine out to pee before I even get to go! And I wake up early to give them extra time in the morning to run around, eat their breakfast, etc. They pretty much sleep all day, so I make sure they get to run around in the morning for a little while. I clean their faces, fix Sammy's topknot and play with them so they are good to nap for several hours before my husband has to let them outside again.
Heidi - I think people were as upset at what NODAK said about the way he treated you, as well as how he treated Tanner...
