My poor Kipper went through the same thing 2 months ago and had to have surgery to fix his knee! He was only 9mos old when it happened, jumped off the couch and landed the wrong way and popped his knee cap out! I took him to the vet immediately because I thought he broke it but they said his knee cap "socket" was not deep enough and the knee cap kept falling out so he couldn't walk at all on his hind leg! It was soooo sad. But my vet is the best and $1000 later Kipper is healing just fine!! He was in a big cast for 2 weeks...it was bigger then he was! But thank goodness he's ok now! I was so worried!!
