I didn't do it. My vet offered it but she was not wery optimistic. I also heard about side effects in some dogs. I my opinion lyme descease is not something that is fatal and very comon so I would rather threat it if it happens then put my dog through so may vaccinations with unknown effect in a long term.
I use regular topical tick repellent (drops) like K9 Advantix or Frontline. These are also not completely harmless for some dogs but it's less scary then if it's inside the body through injection. My dog seems ok so far. I think it's good to do topical test first on any dog before applying the whole doze. |
