very normal to have white on them at birth. that white will change to a beautiful gold later as they age, i've been told. it is also an i ndicator of a silky adult coat. that is not to say that those that don't have the white won't be silky. the markings change shape too as they grow. All of my babies except one from all my litters have had the white markings. i used it to identify them at birth but after they got a few weeks old, it changed so much i had to identify them a different way. these last babies (two girls) weighed a pound at about three weeks. Well, actually, one did and the other was close behind. They are now six weeks and have really slowed down. So, this does not necessarily mean they will be larger yorkies. both my parents weigh four pounds and grandparents on each side are between three and four so i am still expecting some tiny adults here unless the 'stork' reached WAYYYY back and pulled up a larger ancestor.
