Oh I hate losing pets. I lost a great dane a few years back -- Ella was the love of my life! Losing pets is so painful, but I think it helps us grow into better caregivers to the next pets that come along.
Luca Dean = Latin, source of light + my Dad's name, Dean. That's my yorkie name story. We chose the name before we chose him, and it suits him well -- he has been a source of light and delight after a hard holiday season for us -- we had two ailing family members this year.
We are given these wonderful pets to enjoy, to pamper, and to make our lives and theirs more comfortable. It's so tough having to lose them, and afterwards the best medicine sometimes is to care for another one. |
