I don't fault her for not allowing people into her home. If I were a breeder, I probably wouldn't either ... especially after hearing about that mama Yorkie and the pups being stolen (that story was awful). It's just a huge risk.
I know we'd all love to go to a breeder's home to meet her and her family and see where our pup came from but in this crazy world, it's just too risky. People can't be trusted. Yorkies are too popular and expensive right now. Some people who can't afford them or who want to resell them will do anything to get one ... even come into a trusting, caring breeder's home and steal them.
However, in this particular case, I feel the breeder has something to hide. She received a few very nice and polite e-mail inquiries about her Yorkie for sale and her response was rude and sounded totally defensive. Why be defensive if you have nothing to hide? And before you say she was defensive because she found out what a few YT'ers had planned, I'm talking about BEFORE she found out. She just started out nasty and rude and to me that's a huge red flag. I would never give my hard earned money to a rude and snotty breeder. |
