I am by no means equipped to answer your question, but since we recently got a high result I have been doing a lot of research.
My only thought is there must be some sort of food in their system with the first test because it's the eating that causes that second number to go up. Mine had a 6.9 pre number which I was told was normal but it's still higher than I have seen others post.
I think YorkieLuv is one expert - maybe she'll shed some more light.
Good post though - I think there have been a few recent diagnosis of liver issues here.
