Zoe didn't stay overnight and we preferred it this way...at least we can take turns watching over her during the night and continue the pain meds on time intervals. These guys recooop SO fast. The first day, expect them to be zonked out and laying a lot although she tried to get up and play. Our vet said no walking much during the first week, ie, no long potty breaks. She pottied on pee pads during the day but did it standing up instead of squatting, really strange. Otherwise, it was uneventful and she bounced right back to running and playing on day 2. We didn't do an e-collar, we did the onsie which worked fine. We spoon fed her a lot with softened dog food or baby food and syringed water in her mouth. Good luck!
