Hi and welcome to YT!
First you have to have a pic to upload!!
You have to resize it (one of our wonderful members posted a few sites you can use to resize your pics...just type picture resizing in the search and it should come up). Then click on user cp. On the left you will see edit avatar. Click on that and upload your picture and....VIOLA! you now have an avatar!!
