So sorry didn't mean to upset you.
I had the exact same thing happen to a little rescued puppy before. She bruised her brain as I said was likely to have happened in your case. She also acted exactly like you mentioned which was from a seizure. She was taken to the vet and all of the same tests were done. As long as she is acting normal your vet will allow you to take her home with instructions to monitor her for any odd behavior that may indicate a more serious injury.
More than likely he cannot do the tests for brain injury because an MRI would need to be done and mosts vets do not have that capability. Usually you have to go to a university but the MRI would not be needed as long as she is not acting strange. As I said, ask him if he did a neurological exam. This will tell you if brain damage is likely. I was just saying what some of the possible complications are and what you will have to be on the watch for as some neurological symptoms take awhile to develop. Your vet will tell you the same thing.
BTW this little puppy had no long term problems and went to great home at 6 months.
