I'm not a vet but my 7 year old schnauzer chewed wood when he was a puppy and vomited a lot of blood and has had a delicate stomach ever since and he is on a special diet because of it. I would definately keep them away from the wood if at all possible. |
Thank-you for your words of caution :-) I try to keep it away from her. I am going to try something sneaky tomorrow....I am going to put bitter apple on some wood that I will plant in her "nest" and see what she does! But, knowing her she will think something is up and not even get close to it! She is so dang smart! My husband and I have resorted to "code talk" when she is around because when she hears her name being spoken, even when it's not directly at her, she is ready to run!" So now when she needs a time out and I need hubby to help me catch her, we say softly, "red". I am taking bets...how long do you think it is going to take her to catch on to the word red? Ha ha ha
Thought I would share that! ha ha
