DO NOT go back there if you are not comfortable. I took Loki several times to a bad groomer before finding a better one, then a great one. He STILL hates having his nails trimmed. He would shake when I dropped him off AND when I picked him up. Now when he goes to the groomer he runs to her door to greet her! I would say, with the exception of accidentally getting the quick of a nail once or twice, you should NOT hear your dog yipping. That means she is being hurt. BOTH of mine get mats and I gently work the mats out. They will try to pull away because they are bored and they will let me know when I am pulling too hard, but they will not just start "sqeaking" unless they are being hurt.
