Default Patience

Have patience and be consistent. Sometime sit seems like they will never get it and then suddenly the do. When you are home she still needs to have access to the pen so that she can get to her pee pad otherwise she will definitely pee on the floor unless you take her out on a regular basis.

Your little one needs more exercise as she is cooped up all day. Mine is home alone for 9 hours as well and when I get home it is all about her. We go for a short walk to pee and poo and then we hop in the car and go to the ballfield down the street and I put her on a long leed (really long) as I cannot run and she runs like the wind and socializes with all the kids in the park. She absolutely loves it. We spend about 30 mins there and then come home and she has her supper and takes a little nap to recharge. After I do my chores and eat supper we go back to the ballfield for another 20 minutes.
After that she is tuckered and ready for snuggle time on the couch. Usually at 8:00 she will stand up on the ottoman and look at me and that is my cue to put her to bed. She sleeps in my room in a crib next to my bed. I know it sounds foolish but she has her own space to sleep and I don't worry about rolling over her at night. We both love it.

Try getting a plastic boot tray and taping the pee pad to that, it might help. I have to tell you that when Bella does use the papers on her boot tray she shreds them after use. As far as I am concerned that is the lesser of two evils. She can shred as long as she doesn't pee on the floor.

Hope things get better with the training.
