My vet did my boys vacs like this .. first distemper at 8weeks, 2nd & rabies by 3 months. Then 1 year later, distemper and rabies again, and now I have to go every 3 years for vacs, not every year. They do the round at 1 year in case the first puppy round did not take for whatever reason. Im afraid of over vaccinating my little guys. They do not get lyme vacs... which makes me nervous because ticks are bad in my area in the spring/summer. But the vet says that that vac is really hard on little dogs and as long as Im diligent with the frontline and checking for ticks they really dont need it since they are indoor dogs. Ive found 1 tick on each of them this year in March, which I thought was too early for frontline (i dont do it year round) but thats all the ticks ever so far!
