My husband said to me "look, Vixxen has an ouie-theres a scab here." So I checked her out and went screaming back to him to pull this thing out!!

It was pretty big and just the head of it was in her skin. There was a tiny red spot last night, I haven't checked yet this morning-she's sleeping in

What should I do now? Does she need to go to the vet? Do you guys keep your babies on flea/tick meds? Ewww I feel so itchy!

We have a creek that runs behind our backyard and then its covered in trees and woodsy like. Deer, sheep, horses everywhere. She had to have just picked it up since it wasn't buried, yes? We took them to the lake and I let them go to the water, but that was last Saturday?
