Actually, when I got my Yorkie, I had NO idea they were so expensive to tell you the truth. I wasn't really sure that I wanted to get ANY dog at the time and my neighbor thought I needed something to take my mind off my parrot just dying, and she had the breeders bringing the puppies to her house so she could see them, and practically dragged me over there to see them. I INSTANTLY fell in love with Max and when I asked if I could take him next door to show him to my dh and ask if we could buy him, I found out how much they were asking and I thought "NO WAY is my dh going to pay that for a dog right now".....he was taking a nap, and I crept into the bedroom, put Max on the bed and said "look at this, it's almost my birthday, can we get him?"....he looked at Max and said "he's so cute! How much? $200?"
