I understand what Kathryn is talking about. It is definately an adjustment for a dog to have another dog added to their family. I have three dogs and the pack order was upset with each new addition, but dogs have a funny way of working things out between themselves. Once a pack order is established, all is well. It took our dogs about a week with full-time supervision (or else crated) before they worked themselves out. It's so funny how their pack-order works, too. Hobbs is our pack leader, then the black lab Lamar, then Hootie is at the bottom. It's quite humorous how Hobbs, the 3lbs yorkie, dominates Lamar, the 65lb lab! |
