Thank you so much for your information. I don't know if the vet checked their roofs of the mouth. I do know that the puppy will suck on mama and keep sucking, which is why I think she may be getting food because wouldn't she try another nipple. Her nipples do not seem hard. In fact, the vet had told me they were inverted and that hopefully they will come out, which I know of one that did and that is the one the pup is sucking. The others are just flat. I know the puppy lays under the mama so I am hoping that is keeping her warm enough. I have towels wrapped all around the pen they are in and they are in my office, which is the hottest room in the house because of the computers I guess. No, I haven't tried a different formula because they were eating it the first day when the mama was healing from her C-section and the drugs she was on. Since she has been with mama, no formula taking. |
