I won't get on my soapbox against calling people names like "dumb" and "stupid" and "idiotic" because the adults here know that they are setting an example for the younger members and they will behave as they feel is appropriate. I have been down that road as a member already pointed out.

I am not trying to defend her, but could it be that the girl with the new puppy was on her way home after having "just picked it up" and maybe stopped at the mall to buy the carrier and some other things for the puppy? I just believe in giving people I do not know the benefit of the doubt. She sounds like she was trying to be nice but was maybe a little overwhelmed by the attention and she didn't let anyone else hold the puppy, right?

I guess I just don't like the negative energy in this thread and wanted to show the other, hopefully, more positive side. I don't like to see puppies abused either but I don't think we have any evidence of abuse in this case.

I think Natalie did the right thing by referring her here to YT and I hope she takes the advice and becomes a member, but I hope she never reads this thread.
I agree with you, Kim. I'm also a person that gives people the benefit of a doubt. I always try to find the brighter side of any situation. IMO, she just didn't know or realize that such a young puppy being exposed like that would make her sick. Chances are, this is her first puppy. I believe that people do stupid things with out actually being stupid. I'm glad that Natalie told her about YT. She can get some very good information here and also share her stories of her new baby.
