My little one went to the vet this morning because he has been sick all weekend (it's Monday here). He has loose stools and then he stopped eating. The vet checked him and said he had inflammation and some anaerobic bacteria, a bad kind. He gave him some shots and medicine. (He gave him antibiotics, anti inflammatory, medicine for lose stools and another one to heal his intestines.) He really couldn't find another reason. (He looked under the microscope at the bacteria for a long time. Although he found a bit of blood.) Also my Chibi has 4 stools a day, he said that is a bit much usually 2 are ok. He said that maybe the food he eats isn't a good fit for his metabolism and suggested switching from chicken base to beef base. We use Eukanuba weight control 1-6 years. Have any of you had a similar problem of loose stools and a blood because of food, and how did you go about trying out different foods?
