After 2 months of age I have been taking Mya pretty much everywhere. She is well adjusted, not afraid of people or other animals or noises. She will be a good therapy dog. As a former foster mother to dogs I was shocked to see small purebread dogs given up. The reason, they were not socialized when they were young. It takes time and effort to get these little dogs to stop growling, nipping and barking at every little thing but it can be done. It would been better for the dog if it was just exposed to more people, places and things. There are also people that already have dogs at home that get a puppy. The other dogs go out and in and the puppy is fine.
I do think it is a good warning to becareful about germs when a pup is so young but once it is safe I think it is good thing to take the dog out in public.
