Default Removing inner ear hair/ ear mite question

Gizmo is 12 weeks old today. When we took him for his well puppy check a couple of days after we picked him up, we discovered that he had ear mites. The vet gave us Earadimite, and we have faithfully put the drops in once a day. His last day for the drops will be Tuesday.

I have noticed that Gizmo has a lot of hair inside his ear, and I have read that those hairs need to be plucked. That seems like a LOT of hair to pluck! How do I make that less painful and what is the common feeling about removing that hair? Do I do it now or after the ear mite medicine finishes on Tuesday? Would it help to prevent the ear mites from coming back? Or do I need to let the ears heal?

I would appreciate your thoughts.
