I explained to them that they needed to help her keep the dog up not jsut food, bathing , nails teeth and etc. The older lady was devastated and will probably try to make sure he is in the house., I know he smells a ton better. I showed them where his nails had grown through the skin on his back feet and there are permanent piercings there now.I apologized for the shoddybhaircut but explained that his eyes ( this was not from a week of matting this was old old old and had deep sores on the sides of his muzzle infection was setting in and when the heat of the summer hit it would have been a breeding ground for maggots that is just how thick the mat was) needed to be wiped under. She said she has a hard time so I said I would periodically check in and bathe him for her and clip his nails as well as take him to the groomers when need be.
I hope they keep him close to them as he loves them and missed them dearly.
I know where they live now so I can keep an eye out for him
