Hi Buttercup, I know this must be so hard for you. I was wondering if maybe you had time to go talk to her. I mean sit her down and tell her what you see and know. Tell her that what she is doing is animal abuse. Tell her that having dogs means having to take the responsibility for them. Tell her that the pup with heartworm is in pain and sick and she needs to get him help. Tell her that them living in their own feces & urine will bring the fleas back and bring them MORE pain. Tell her that you are her best friend and you know she is a good person, but right now shes doing a not so good thing that she needs to make right. Tell her to get those pups medical help and then get them off to good homes. Either by selling them OR by giving them up to a rescue. Tell her that she needs to do the right thing for them before it gets worse. Maybe you dont need to threaten her with calls to shelters and her condo complex, maybe she'll hear you and your words will sink in and she'll do the right thing. (Is she broke broke or something??)

If she get defensive and mean while you are being nice, then tell her that she is leaving you no choice but to call a rescue to come pick them up and that you love her but you will not tolerate the abuse to these poor animals.

Good Luck!!
